sulfate solution and subjected to a gentle electrical current, the sculpture

embarks on a slow metamorphosis. Over time, the bronze dissolves into

the solution, only to reemerge as a crystalline structure, harking back

to the material's most primal form. This process is not merely a static

exhibit but a dynamic performance, unfolding over several years. The

gradual degradation of the skull, juxtaposed with its rebirth as an ever-

expanding crystal, serves as a potent metaphor for cycles of life, decay,

and regeneration.

concept of reincarnation, suggesting the endless journey of the soul

through various forms and existences. The transformation of the

sculpture from solid metal to crystalline form mirrors this spiritual

voyage, embodying themes of dissolution, purification, and eventual

renewal. The use of bronze—a material with ancient connotations of

permanence and resilience—contrasts with its deliberate dissolution,

challenging notions of permanency and the immutable nature of

substances.

This piece invites contemplation on the impermanence of physical form

and the enduring essence that underlies superficial changes. As viewers

witness the slow yet inevitable progression of the skull's transformation,

life beyond physical demise. Through this artistic alchemy, the sculpture

not only transcends its material origins but also engages deeply with

existential questions, offering a visual and conceptual reflection on the

mysteries of existence and the continuous cycle of life and death.

3-channel Video, 8 minutes loop.

In the same name of the exhibition, a tri-channel

video piece featuring a machine designed to

transform the human body post-mortem into

electrical energy. This apparatus, characterized

by its intricate array of thermoelectric converters

and cooling fans, proposes a novel approach to

death that intertwines with themes of rebirth and

continuity.

The voiceover in the video, an AI-rendered

duplication of the artist's voice, serves as

a poignant meditation on life, death, and

the potential for rebirth through energy

transformation. It introduces the machine's

operation with reverence and scientific intrigue,

describing the process of body desiccation,

oxygenation, and subsequent combustion. A key

phrase from the narration, "All the calories in your

body, all the potential energy stored in every single

cell," underscores the concept that the energy of

life can be repurposed beyond death.

The video's narrative aligns with the idea that

what was once part of the earth returns to

it, not through decay but through a cycle of

energy conversion that mirrors the essence of

reincarnation. It suggests that the 'soul'—or the

energy that animates us—continues in a different

form, akin to the prophetic vision of dry bones

coming to life, a motif that resonates deeply within

the exhibition's thematic scope.
