a video installation that encapsulates the intersection of nature,

technology, and the pursuit of enlightenment. This piece consists of

two identical screens, both immersed in a non-conductive cooling

agent commonly utilized in cryptocurrency mining operations. The

choice of medium is a nod to contemporary technological practices,

creating a bridge between the digital and the natural worlds.

symbolic of transformation and the relentless human quest for

knowledge and light—engaged in a Sisyphean pursuit of a fluorescent

light. This digital moth, drawn to the brilliance of the light, embodies

a primal instinct, reflecting our own intrinsic attractions and pursuits.

Yet, every time the moth nears its goal, the light extinguishes,

plunging the scene into darkness. The narrative then shifts to the

second screen, where viewers witness the moth's ongoing quest

through night vision, adding an eerie, persistent glow to the pursuit.

This alternation between visibility and invisibility, light and darkness,

is not merely a technical maneuver but a profound metaphor for the

human condition. The moth's unending journey towards the light,

thwarted at the moment of achievement, mirrors our own cycles

of desire, effort, and often, disappointment. The use of cooling

agents, essential for sustaining high-performance computing yet

here repurposed to house a tale of natural endeavor, further layers

the work with themes of adaptation and the melding of organic and

synthetic realms.

inevitability of obstacles, and the beauty inherent in the pursuit itself.

Through this immersive installation, the artist posits that it is within

this cycle of seeking and striving that life's most profound reflections

are revealed, urging viewers to consider the value of the journey over

the destination.
